On its press site, CBS has posted the first pictures of Laurence Fishburne as Dr. Raymond Langston, the actor's new "CSI" character.

Here's one of Langston with Gil Grissom (William Petersen). On the right is a more casual moment between the actors on the "CSI" set.

CBS described the episode in which Langston first appears this way: "When a new murder leads to a connection with an infamous serial killer, Grissom secretly joins the class of well-known criminal pathologist Dr. Raymond Langston (Fishburne), to gain access to the killer and get a crack in the case," which involves the "Dick and Jane Killer," according to the CBS release. The episode, "19 Down," was written by "CSI" executive producers Carol Mendelsohn and Naren Shankar,

Also, here's a picture of Fishburne on his own as Langston. CBS confirmed that the episode, which I noted in this story, will air Dec. 11. "CSI" star Petersen is expected to exit in early 2009.
